trust me

January 18th, 2010

The word “trust” keeps coming back to me.
At first I was thinking about myself, as usual. I’m good at things where my intuition is the important element. I’m good with being trusted – even better if you’re not counting on me for anything enormously specific. I’ll just take your job or your friendship or your [...]

Eyes

January 13th, 2010

My eyes have gone funny again. Sometimes they’re nearly 20/20, then I’ll randomly be unable to read a car registration plate or make out faces from more than ten feet away. I should go back to the optician but instead I think I’ll blame you. Yes, YOU. Knock it off, okay? Seriously.

I have four lives to coordinate every morning before I step out of the door. They are always there, taking up what feels like 80% of my brain capacity. Even though one of them is an adult, and one unborn, their lives must still be planned for and factored into every decision I make. It [...]

hurry kills love

ADVICE FROM M.
This morning I went for my monthly haircut from M., hairdresser and part-time guru. I blog partly because I often find little nuggets of useful or even Extremely Important information in everyday conversations, and M.’s are really unusually rich. He has a sense for the spiritual that I have only met in a [...]

computers are great

February 17th, 2006

Just wanted to announce that computers are great. I thought I was going to have a really stressful rushed day adding new data to the files which I made weeks ago, and rejigging the whole report, but lo and behold, as I’ve put in the data in Excel all the charts have changed too! It’s [...]
